Welcome to Nature Inspired Therapy. My name is Renata Anukaite.
I am a qualified, accredited and experienced Bilingual Counsellor/Psychotherapist (hold a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy) with Specialist training in Fertility Counselling. As an accredited member of Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) I follow their code of professional practice and code of ethics. I attend regular clinical supervision and on-going training to develop my skills as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist.
I offer One - to - One counselling for adults such as General Counselling, Fertility Counselling, Counselling Outdoors (Ecotherapy), Walk & Talk Therapy.
My practice is located in a nice setting in a countryside, just outside Waterford city. Clients have a choice either to work indoors or outdoors. Sessions can be in English or Lithuanian.
There are many reasons why someone might decide to go for counselling. They might feel they need to find new and more effective ways of dealing with particular situation or they might be experiencing a particular problem and feel a need to talk to someone about it in confidence.
A qualified and experienced Counsellor can offer a person a safe and nonjudgmental space to talk about their issues, their concerns. The therapist can help the person reach the clarity, insight about their situation and help them to make a change in order to heal, energize and grow. Some clients may need only a few sessions to notice an improvement and others may need more long term therapy depending on their issues and ability to cope.
I practice as a Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist. I use different approaches such as Person - Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Ecotherapy, Art Therapy etc. in order to create individualized therapy plans to suit each client and their issue. I believe in the healing power of nature and integrate it into my practice. I also integrate aspects of mindfulness in the therapy.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by life's demands and challenges, I am here to help you and support you. Start your journey towards healing today!

Some of the issues often dealt with in counselling include: anxiety, stress, bereavement and loss, self esteem issues, bullying, life changes, sexuality, low mood, fear etc.
As therapist through counseling and treatment, I can help the client to recover motivation, perspective, and joy that they once had in their life.
What to expect in the 1st session?
Sessions usually last about 50min - 60min.
But 1st session is usually an assessment and can take a bit longer. I usually ask the client about their reasons for seeking counselling, i ask about them, their history, and what it is that they are hoping to achieve. There is an opportunity to ask me questions as well. If at the end of 1st session we feel we can work together then we can come to an agreement and decide therapy plan, number of sessions, review date etc. If for some reason I feel I cannot help client with particular problem (if it is outside my expertise) I may refer client to another professional.
Specific Fertility Counselling aims to enhance couples and individuals' experience of fertility treatment and support the person in resolving any difficulties that may hinder this. Unhelpful issues could include: social isolation relating to disclosure, stress relating to the treatment, negative predictions about the future, low mood, relationship issues etc.
Individuals might benefit from different types of counselling at different stages of fertility treatment such as Complications Counselling, Therapeutic Counselling or Support Counselling.
Support Counselling can offer general support for a short term before, during or after the treatment. Implications Counselling involves a minimum one session. It focuses on exploring the thoughts and feelings that may arise when becoming a donor recipient. Therapeutic Counselling offers longer term counselling to support the client to overcome symptoms relating to low mood, stress,, anxiety etc.
Ecotherapy, Walk & Talk Therapy sessions are held outdoors in nature, in a woodland area on a farm or in the garden. As every person's needs and requirements are unique I offer various options depending what client prefers. Sessions are usually about an hour.
Ecotherapy is about personal healing and healing for the Earth. It uses a range of practices in order to help us connect with nature.
Many clients say that Walk Talk Therapy is a more relaxed environment than the counseling office. Walking while sharing your struggles and life situations can also be meditative. Walk Talk Therapy also encourages healthy activity.. Both types of therapies can be beneficial to any individual as nature is well known to be a great healer. Being in nature often evokes inspiration and transformation for many people.
